Nothing Needs Creativity Like Selling A House

Selling a house was once a matter of making it the homeliest place on earth. It was a matter of getting some freshly cut daffodils, laying out a nice spread of freshly bakes cookies and adding a scented candle to every room. That is not the case anymore because that is not enough to sway a buyer, nor is just any old real estate agent. No. It takes a lot more than that these days, which is why so many home sellers have resorted to more creative and innovative tactics than ever before.

If getting unique with your tactics is something that you’re willing to do, then please do read on because we have come up with a list of the most successful creative methods people are starting to use.

The Use Of Ancient Chinese Philosophy

Staging one’s home is not a new trick. It is a method that has been adopted by many a home seller and one that has often had effective and speedy results. But stager's are now taking their staging one step further and employing the ancient Chinese philosophy of Feng Shui. This is essentially a way of improving the chi - the energy - that flows through a home and is real art. It is something that has seen seller’s completely rearrange their homes to fit the rules of Feng Shui and make potential buyers feel more welcome the moment they step inside.

Take To The Web

Yup, a lot of sellers are now enlisting the power of the Internet to help sell their home and, no, we don’t just mean with real estate websites like Rightmove. A lot of them are now using sites like eBay as a means of digital marketing, while others are going so far as to use house swapping sites. We didn’t realize this was a thing either, but it is. There are sites like Pad4Pad and DomuSwap. The world we live in is an incredibly confusing place sometimes.

And The First Prize Is?

We’ve mentioned eBay, and that means we’ve kind of touched on auctioning (without going near traditional auctioning). But a new craze is this idea of putting your house up as a raffle prize and offering it to the winner. As you can imagine, this is a fantastic way of garnering some interest and intrigue, and even getting a few punters just to have a go. There are a couple of issues with this tactic, however; it isn’t legal in all states. So if this is a route you quite fancy the idea of going down, just make sure you research the law first.

Give Them A Good Night’s Sleep

Yeah, we literally mean what we say here. A lot of buyers are now letting potential buyers try before they buy. They are letting the sleep on their decision in the most literal sense possible by offering them the chance to stay in the house for a pre-arranged amount of time. This will allow them to get the full experience and have a trial run before parting with their cash. It is a great move and one that is seeing great success off the back of it.
