Dr. Kennedy attended Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI where he earned a degree in Biology. He then attended the College of Charleston/Medical University of South Carolina where he obtained a degree in Cellular Biology. Afterwards, Dr. Kennedy received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. After medical school Dr. Kennedy completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. At the completion of his residency, Dr. Kennedy started a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Idaho Orthopedic Foot and Ankle in Boise, Idaho.
In over 10 years of practice, Dr. Kennedy has published numerous scientific articles regarding foot and ankle surgery and performed extensive research. Dr. Kennedy has also lectured and given research presentations in his area of expertise. Dr. Kennedy's current clinical interest is in the management of arthritis and soft tissue injuries, pertaining to the foot and ankle.
Dr. Kennedy is currently an adjunct physician at a local high school, treating foot and ankle sports related injuries. He currently practices at Sports Medicine Oregon in Portland, OR. Dr. Kennedy attributes his success to his persistence in bringing high-quality and innovative orthopedic care to his patients.
