Janet Bauer, owner of the Bauer Group, LLC, which has provided presentation training for groups and individuals, will serve as moderator of the discussion. She has shared her talents with international CEOs, business managers, non-profit staffs, and students. In 2001, Bauer began dedicating her professional services to help empower children, especially those who are most vulnerable. As Founder and Program Manager of I'm A Great Child Worldwide SM, she has directly taught children, teens, teachers, parents, caregivers, non-profit staff, and college students in the United States, Kenya, South Africa, and Botswana. The program she developed has been translated into four languages, is now being taught by volunteers in Haiti, and has reached more than 60 organizations. Janet is also the author of the recently released book, What's Great About You! For All Children In The World.

Non-profit panelist and North Carolina native, Pat Nathan has been active in a variety of organizations addressing social and environmental equity. She founded the first European chapter of Women in Technology International (WITI) in England in 2001 and a second in Ireland in 2002. In 2008, Nathan founded the local Dress for Success Triangle, part of an international non-profit organization promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. She has received several awards for her leadership, and serves on the international board for Dress for Success Triangle and on the board of the Triangle Community Foundation.

Business panelist, Lisa Pineiro is founder and President of three businesses in Durham, North Carolina, two being multi-million dollar enterprises. In 2008, Pineiro received Enterprising Women magazine's National Enterprising Woman of the Year Award, and her firm was named the Greater Durham Business of Excellence. In 2009, she was named North Carolina's SBA Small Business Person of the Year and was invited to introduce President Obama at the annual SBA conference in Washington, DC. One of her companies, RTP Electrical Services, LLC, is currently ranked 20th in the top 100 small businesses of North Carolina. Adding non-profits to her mix, Pineiro also founded Women @ Work, a non-profit program that encourages girls to empower themselves to accomplish personal and career goals with an emphasis on non-traditional career options. She is also the CEO of the non-profit Durham Careers in Construction, a group made up mostly of construction professionals that educates young, at-risk kids in public schools about the wide array of lucrative careers in construction.
