With the use of Network Energy services, you can set your embedded networks for your residents or tenants to enjoying using electricity at low costs which leads to cutting down water the very moth expensive bills. The areas where you can configure your embedded networks include commercial parks, shopping centers, apartment buildings, and retirement village and manufactured home estates.
In the present world, embedded networks are very common since most people like property owners, managers, occupiers, and developers know their benefits. The law promoting on-selling of energy got enacted the other day, but the implementation of embedded networks has grown tremendously. Under the retailer’s choice, consumers are under an agreement between the energy trader and the embedded owner and the system never gets linked directly to the grid. For an embedded network to exist, the following conditions have to be met.
1. When all the consumers get allocated ICPS by an embedded network, the rules have to be applied to manage the ICPS.
2. At the point of connection, the embedded network owner has Network Supply Point (NSP) created that can be between one network and another embedded network or even parent network. All ICPS refer to this NPS in the registry.
3. Every parent network owner must identify loss factors for all NSP connected to the grid. There are loss category codes and loss factors published in the registry.
4. An ICP identifier created and modified from the point of connection to the embedded network should be held by the parent network owner. So as to know the losses that the owner of the parent network encounters, the ICP need have price category code and loss category code.
5. Ensure there are the Rules compliant half-hour meters for the embedded network NSP.
6. Have a certificate for embedded network owners for the clearing and settlement purposes. You can obtain this license from the collection and the submission of information rules.
7. As an embedded network owner, you should know the loss factors for the ICPs and they have them published in the loss factor table in the registry. Populate the loss category code against the ICP found in the embedded network.
8. Have all UML being managed in the registry so that it be easy for the embedded network owners to recover all the returns they had invested in the network. You can achieve this using connection and demand diversity, and you will be in a position to provide network services to their tenants that are cheap.
Challenges of utilizing embedded networks
Its implementation is a challenge as they don’t have a standardized application layer that directs how the data exchange gets done. Most address the physical and data link layers. You must have a proprietary solution for you to implement an embedded network. Another thing you will need is generating an inner communication specification. Most of the network nodes are in-house built, and this makes the embedded network challenging to use.
Embedded networks can be tough to outsource because there are no communication standards. With no communication standards, third parties will always find challenging to construct efficient components.
