GAC Pindar Team Australia Record First Podium Finish at Sydney Extreme Sailing Series
Following a ferocious day's sailing on Sydney Harbour, GAC Pindar skipper Nathan Wilmot led the crew to their first podium finish at the final Act of the Extreme Sailing Series.
After sailing was cancelled yesterday due to adverse weather conditions, spectators on Sydney harbour were treated to ten thrilling races throughout the day.
Sailing under the Team Australia flag, GAC Pindar finished the day in ninth position with a total of 40 points but showed positive signs throughout, notching a second place finish in round eight.
GAC Pindar Skipper Nathan Wilmot said: "After a slow start today we got to grips with the conditions in the final few races. There's definitely more to come from us this week and we're looking forward to getting out on the water again tomorrow."
The Wave, Muscat top the leader board after day one on 75 points.
