INDUS Corporation Wins $80M Contract to assist the Library of Congress

VIENNA, Va., Oct. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- INDUS Corporation (INDUS), a leading Federal Information Technology (IT) solutions provider, today announced that it has been awarded a prime contract by the Library of Congress (LOC) to provide Information Technology (IT) services for the end user community throughout the LOC, to include library-wide staff, members of Congress, and LOC patrons. This single award contract was competed in the full and open market by LOC and was awarded to INDUS with a period of performance of a base and four option years with potential orders up to $80M.

Library of Congress is the nation's oldest federal cultural institution and serves as the research arm of Congress. It is also the largest library in the world, with millions of books, recordings, photographs, maps and manuscripts in its collections. Under this contract, INDUS will be providing IT services to support the Library's primary objective in making its resources available and useful not only to the Congress, but all three branches of the Federal Government, and to the American People. Services will include operations of the ITS Service Desk using ITIL best practices, delivering innovations in asset management and knowledge management, technical documentation, and ensuring overall LOC end-user satisfaction. INDUS will also provide network and server administration, full life cycle software application management, and audio/visual support services for LOC special events.
