The 2014 Honda Odyssey is mechanically almost identical to the 2013 version. Powering the new 2014 Honda Odyssey is the same 3.5-liter, V-6 engine that can produce 248-horsepower and tow up to 3,500 pounds with the proper equipment added. Honda engineers have made the more fuel-efficient six-speed automatic transmission available on all trim levels. Previous base models of the Honda Odyssey have only been available with a five-speed automatic. Also new for the 2014 Odyssey is a slightly upgraded interior and a subtly refreshed exterior as well as an expanded set of standard features that will add value to the new Honda Odyssey across all trim versions.

Having access to technology while riding in the seven-passenger 2014 Honda Odyssey will not be a problem. Even in the entry level LX trim of the new Odyssey there is an eight-inch multi function touchscreen display as well as hands-free calling capability using Bluetooth technology. The Odyssey also does its part to prevent texting while driving by using its infotainment system to read text messages over the speakers in the vehicle. Other standard equipment includes cruise control, tilting and telescoping steering as well as power windows and locks.
