The CEO of the Real Estate Institute of the Northern Territory (REINT), Mr Quentin Kilian, will be a guest speaker at the 2013 National Association of Realtors (NAR) Annual Realtors Convention in San Francisco this coming November 7 to 11.
“The Americans are very interested in how we conduct auctions in Australia including how we market an auction campaign and how it’s delivered”, Mr Kilian said. “I’ve been asked to make a presentation, alongside an American auctioneer, to compare the similarities and differences between the US and Australian styles of auctioneering”.
Mr Kilian stated, “I’m very excited about this as it’s the first time we have had the chance to showcase Australian auctioneering in the US, and to be able to present at a conference that attracts over 20,000 real estate professionals from around the world is even more exciting.”
“There is a real interest internationally in Australia, and if I can push the Territory as the primary investment destination while I have the opportunity, then all the better.” Mr Kilian said.
Mr Kilian also spoke at the inaugural Asia Pacific Real Estate Conference (APRECE) held in Singapore in March 2013, where he showcased Darwin as a prime investment location. The APRECE conference attracted over 2000 delegates from around Asia.
NAR will be held in San Francisco from 7 to 11 November 2013. It is the world’s largest real estate convention and exhibition, regularly attracting over 20,000 delegates. The exhibition hall is filled with over 400 exhibitors including an international pavilion where the Australian delegation will have the opportunity to further showcase and network. The keynote speaker for this year’s convention will be former US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.
