Key Items for a Luxury Office Fitout

When you’ve gone all out for a top office fitout in Brisbane and you’re aiming to impress clients and visitors, then you need to ensure you apply every touch you can to make your office truly luxurious and exceptional.

But how does one achieve that in an office space? Read on below and we’ll reveal which items you can add into virtually any office space to make it look all the more luxurious.

1. High-End Lighting

Nothing says cheap and tacky like conventional and boring lighting fixtures. Investing in stylish and unique lighting can really “highlight” --- pun intended --- the flair and stylistic eye of your brand. What’s more, better-quality lighting can actually bring other benefits to your team, such as lighting that is easier on the eyes, and/or creates a more comfortable atmosphere in which to work.

2. Use Upholstered Chairs

When you’re setting up your meeting rooms, guest seating areas, reception/waiting area chairs, and so on, why not give them that real luxury feel by choosing finely upholstered chairs backed up with a solid and quality wooden frame? This type of chair speaks volumes compared to cheaper plastic and mesh chairs.

It’s one thing to choose more functional, supportive and not necessarily aesthetically pleasing chairs for your employees’ desks, but your guests are only with you for a relatively short time, and so you should try to make them as comfortable as possible.

3. Larger, More Spacious Desks

The image of grand open spaces tends to generate a more luxurious and high-end image, and if you’ve invested in a larger office space to try and portray that, then why not also try to achieve it with the desks you select? Opt for quality materials and large, solid desk surfaces that give each person plenty of space to spread out their computer and other desk belongings. You can also help to create the illusion of more surface space if you offer more under-desk storage in the form of drawers and cabinets.

4. Invest in Quality Details

Another great way to make your office more luxurious is to look at the small things like door handles, cupboards and shelving, decorative items for the reception, plants and more. Opting for more lush and opulent plants, for instance, or more ornate door handles, dark-wood shelves or cupboards to convey a sense of gravitas and style…you get the idea. Just as you invested in the more stylish lighting, you can do the same with the small things.

5. Put Down Magnificent Flooring

One of the reasons that offices use carpeting on the floor is because it helps people be quieter when walking around. If you make the floor hardwood or another hard surface like marble, then female employees in heels and men in heavy formal shoes will make quite a racket walking around, won’t they?

So, instead of just common old cheap office carpet tiles, why not look at something more luxurious? Thicker carpets will not only further improve that damping effect, but will also make the office floor so much more comfortable to stand and walk around upon. It will also lend a sense of grandeur to the space, especially if using a fine, rich colour.

6. Hang Art

Finally, to really tie together your new luxurious office space, hang some pieces of contemporary art in the empty wall space to bring colour and vibrance to your office space, not to mention potential artistic inspiration. The larger the pieces you can source, the better, since then everyone around the office will be able to see and enjoy them.
