Know what you’re aiming for

Work out your budget

Even though business is going well, you will still need to work out a budget on how much you can spend on your business expansion otherwise you could find your business at a loss, and that’s the last thing you want. Business expansion is possible even if you find that you don’t have the money there to spend straight away too, as you can apply for affordable commercial loans which will give you the income boost so that you can make the transition. Remember to always make sure that any loans that you take out are affordable and that you won’t find yourself being unable to repay them. Once you have your budget worked out and the money is there, you can begin taking your first steps into becoming a bigger business!

Inform your staff of changes

Your staff should be one of the first people to know what's going on with the business, especially if it involves moving to a new location. This is because some members of staff might not be able to easily make it into work when you move, so it will give them the chance to sort themselves out. Treating your staff fairly and with compassion during the changes is important as they are one of the key reasons that your business is as successful as it is. Be sure to have a meeting with them all to explain all of the details that are up and coming.

Do everything by the books

Finally, make sure that every step that you take during the transition is done by the books. This includes any builders that are hired to be paid on payroll and all of the other little details that you should be thinking about. This will ensure that you can continue with making your business a bigger and better franchise, and look forward to growth in the future too!
