Perth 18 July 2013. West Australians now have new options when it comes to personalised number plates.
The new BizPlates series includes number plates that can carry tailored messages or even photographs.
Transport Minister Troy Buswell said the new plates - part of the expanded PlatesWA range - provided a new option for individuals or small businesses to promote themselves.
“BizPlates can be personalised in a variety of ways, with the option of displaying a company logo, an industry icon or even a personal photo as well as written messages,” Mr Buswell said.
“I am sure this new service available from the Department of Transport will be welcomed by WA businesses and organisations as an additional way to promote their services.”
The Minister said plates with messages that provided information about an individual’s business, including a phone number, were a great cost-efficient way to for businesses to use on-road advertising.
Mr Buswell said the personalised plates could be created online - a world first for the number plate industry.
Customers can choose between four categories:
The cost of a BizPlate varies for each category, with prices ranging from $450 for a sash message alone, through to $625 for a BizPlate displaying your own photo.
