HOUSTON, Oct. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Alder Koten will host human resource management professionals for a breakfast session to discuss managing cultural differences in Mexico. The session will provide human resource management professionals in the Houston area with key insight and knowledge to help them think differently about professional relationships in Mexico.

"This is a great opportunity for human resource management and corporate recruiting professionals to learn a bit more about key cultural differences that can impact business relationships in Mexico," said Jose Ruiz, Alder Koten's Chief Executive Officer. "We believe that the timing is great. The energy reform in Mexico will bring great opportunities for the oil & gas sector, and this can help human resource professionals position themselves to better serve their internal clients."

It will focus on key points that can help participants better understand, communicate, and work with people in Mexico. An overview of key components in the Mexico's labor law will also be provided as part of the session.

"Being effective when hiring and managing in Mexico really goes beyond the language barrier. Simple details can have a tremendous impact on business and personal relationships," said Jorge Davalos, Alder Koten's Managing Partner in Houston. "Understanding the basics of labor law and compensation structures helps as well."
