CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Huber Engineered Woods LLC,leading manufacturer of innovative building solutions, has launched two online learning courses for customers. The courses, which count toward American Institute of Architects (AIA) Continuing Education System credits, provide tips on how to meet energy codes and standards and how to install a quality subfloor.

The first course, "The Energy Efficiency Challenge: Understanding New Codes and Standards," takes a closer look at current U.S. energy consumption and ongoing changes in building and energy codes. Through this course, architects and builders alike will learn about new design and construction methods, materials, and systems that can be used to help reduce energy consumption of homes.

"The Makings of a Great Subfloor" compares the various methods of subfloor installation and identifies best practices for different types of construction. Architects also will learn which types of subfloor to specify for various commercial projects.
