This new album is the latest triumph in Travis and Adam Pike's on-going efforts to reclaim the best of the songs and music from Travis's mid-sixties to early-seventies back catalog before the time capsule (Travis, himself), deteriorates beyond salvage. Apart from Travis, no original members of the group were complicit in this recording, and although the songs have evolved some over the years, most fans will agree that the brothers kept the tone, subtlety, power and intensity of those early audience favorites intact in these new recorded performances of "If I Didn't Love You Girl" (a remake of the song the original band recorded for Alma Records back in 1968), "Okay," "Worried Sick," "Can't You See," "One-Ten Blues," "Stay By Me," "What's the Matter with Your Mind," "In Your Eyes," "I'll Do Anything I Can," "You Got What I Need," and a sweetened and remixed version of "Oh Mama," (first released last year in Travis Edward Pike's Odd Tales and Wonders Stories in Song CD).
Song samples are posted online at oddtalesandwonders.com. Pre-sales of Travis Edward Pike's Tea Party Snack Platter are being accepted at the Otherworld Cottage Industries Online Store and on Monday, digital downloads of the album and individual songs from it will become available.
Review copies may be requested as of May 12, 2014.
