Ray Kotcher, senior partner and chairman of Ketchum, the global public relations agency that this year celebrated its 90th anniversary, will explore the extraordinary changes in the industry that he's played a role in for more than 30 years.
He will take in the sweep of change in the industry, the arc of a discipline that began focused on newspapers and now in the digital age is only more dynamic and essential than ever.
With personal reflections that include an encounter as a college student with a then-elderly Edward Bernays, the legendary pioneer of public relations, and now right to the very contemporary creation of the world's largest marketing holding company, the merger of Omnicom and Publicis, Ray will look back and at the present and ahead.
Throughout, Kotcher will emphasize his belief that in an age when communication moves at the speed of light, the unprecedented power of public relations means that, more than ever, every practitioner must bring a greater sense of responsibility than ever to their work.
Maggiano's-Buckhead is located at 3368 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30326.
