(PRLEAP.COM) The Institute of Dance Artistry (IDA) is pleased to announce the completion of our 1st annual series of Summer Intensive workshops. IDA's Dance Performance Summer Intensive sessions 1 and 2 successfully brought together dancers from a variety of studios to work together in a professional environment. Dancers trained daily in ballet, modern and jazz with electives in tap and hip-hop. Next they learned and rehearsed performance pieces choreographed by IDA teachers. Finally, the dancers performed those pieces in a fully-costumed, two-night show hosted in IDA's Artistry Theatre, a black box performance space seating 80 people.

During the last week in August the Institute of Dance Artistry (IDA) hosted an Open House in our Fort Washington studio and our Plymouth Meeting studio. IDA's 2013 The Open Houses were fun-filled evenings of dance, games, performances, food and more. Students and families were able to view the state of the art dance studios, meet the teachers, and get excited for the upcoming 2013-14 season of dance.

The Institute of Dance Artistry (IDA) is pleased to announce our new web address, www.idadancer.com. We made this addition so dancers can find, bookmark and remember us a lot easier. You can still find us on the web if you have bookmarked us at our old web address, www.instituteofdanceartistry.com. The IDA website is responsive and 100% mobile ready.

IDA is proud to welcome our newest instructors Alicia Sehn (B.A. Dance), Sharee Marciano (B.F.A. Dance), Leigha Adduci (B.F.A. Dance) and Colleen Dougherty. All have taught throughout the tri-state area and have successful performing and choreographing careers in the Philadelphia area as well as New York, New Jersey, and the Bucks, Montgomery, and Lehigh Valley communities.

The Institute of Dance Artistry (IDA) is located in the Philadelphia suburbs in Eastern Montgomery County. IDA is a school of modern dance, ballet, Pointe, jazz dance, tap, lyrical, and hip hop dance. By adhering to the philosophy that dance is an art, not a competitive sport, IDA provides the ideal dance education for all its students. Students with professional aspirations are able to make a smooth transition into the college and professional dance worlds, which also look at dance as an art. Students who dance for a fun hobby are able to do so in a positive, supportive, non-competitive environment. IDA believes in giving back to the community through dance and does so throughout the year with performances and fundraisers to raise money for charities.

Students of IDA are given the tools to develop strong dance technique, artistic ability, self-confidence, and passion for the art of dance. The individual and unique talents and abilities of all are embraced and encouraged. We have dance students of all ages from Philadelphia, Horsham, Spring House, Blue Bell, Upper Dublin, Ambler, Willow Grove, Conshohocken, North Wales, Montgomeryville and other Bucks and Montgomery County, PA locations.
