(PRLEAP.COM) Washington, October 21, 2013, (AUSA Booth # 1219) Comrod, an international supplier of rugged communications equipment, is pleased to announce the US launch of its new family of LTE antennas and power supplies.

The Comrod LTE antennas support wide band communications on the battlefield, and are designed for optimal range performance in band 14 (US Public Safety), 20, 28 and adjacent bands. Dual band and tri-band configurations are available, enabling configurations such as LTE + VHF through a single antenna. The antennas supports a wide range of mounting options including standard NATO vehicular mounts, mast mounts and shipboard options. With orders already received from US customers, the LTE antennas deliver the flexibility and quality customers expect from Comrod.

The rugged Comrod ComPact 1200 Dual Input keeps the best-in-class power density of the ComPact AC/DC, but also integrates a 12V to 24V converter to enable the use of 24V military equipment in 12V vehicles. When connected to AC power the ComPact 1200 Dual Input will simultaneously charge both the 12V vehicle battery and an optional 24V volt battery bank, keeping the vehicle fully mission ready during prolonged deployments.

The new generation of Comrod self-supporting telescopic masts introduce a patent pending computerised control system facilitating high speed extension and retraction. The mast fits vehicular and shelter platforms, and supports applications ranging from radio link communications to unmanned radar systems for border surveillance. At AUSA Comrod will demonstrate how the control systems integrated mission planning and radio propagation analysis enables fast and optimized deployment of communication platforms.

"Close cooperation with military users world-wide drives Comrod innovation" stated Ole Gunnar Fjelde, President and CEO of Comrod. "Comrod technology supports our customers in their quest to reach further, endure the toughest conditions and maximize performance on the battlefield"

Comrod is exhibiting at AUSA at stand 1219, where all these products are on display in addition to a range of our highly acclaimed antennas, power supplies and masts.
