Serving as chairman of Greenbase Pty. Mr. Marks has 40 years of experience in the fields of hydrography and environmental accounting, including 23 years as chairman of Greenbase Pty. Ltd.  His areas of expertise include new business development, environmental accounting and sustainability reporting. He is also knowledgeable about water resources and sustainable development, and environmental compliance. Skilled in leadership, Mr. Marks also serves as vice president of the Australian Institute of Environmental Accounting. Prior to co-founding Greenbase Pty. Ltd., he worked as a data manager for the South Australian Department of Mines and Energy.

Demonstrating expertise in his field, Mr. Marks attributes his success to patience. It has taken 15 years for the industry to recognize his current role as a profession. He became involved in environmental accounting and reporting through a natural progression of opportunities leading on from the profession of hydrography.

Mr. Marks holds a Diploma in electronic engineering from Mt Lawley Tech in Western Australia and a Certificate in Hydrography from Sydney Tech in New South Wales. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding and also maintains affiliations with the Institution of Engineers of Australia, the Australian Hydrographers Association and the Australian Institute of Environmental Accounting. In the years to come, Mr. Marks plans to continue in his profession until he retires some time within the next 10 years.
