WATERLOO, ON, September 16, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Deep Trekker today announced that they will introduce their premiere product, the DTG2 submarine micro Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) to ocean engineering and technology professionals at the Oceans '13 conference in San Diego, USA. The show, which runs from September 23-26th, is attended by scientists and engineers focused on preserving our oceans for the future. The show provides a perfect opportunity to display the strong capabilities of Deep Trekker for exploration, investigation and research.

Deep Trekker will be exhibiting at booth number 518, with their 250 gallon tank of water with continuous live demonstrations and piloting opportunities so that attendees can gain firsthand experience of the maneuverability and portability of the ROV. Deep Trekker is very excited to be part of this greater focus on expanding our knowledge of the oceans and preserving the waters. "Our lakes and oceans are our greatest resource, although there is still little known about them," comments Sam Macdonald, Deep Trekker President. "I look forward to Deep Trekker being a driving force in helping researchers efficiently and cost-effectively understand and preserve the underwater world."

The portability and accessibility make this ROV attractive to the research and academic communities. With onboard batteries, the DTG2 is fully self-contained, with no need for external power, topside box, or other installations. Deploying in less than 30 seconds, the Deep Trekker DTG2 can easily be used at any research or exploration site.
