MADISON, WI, September 16, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Madison, WI author Windy Phillips' debut novel is about to hit the market, bringing children a new fantasy world into which they can delve. She believes that to establish an affection for books in today's children, it is crucial to provide them a literary world they want to revisit time and again.

Beyond the Forest is the first book in the four-part Innerland Chronicles, and it follows thirteen-year-old William as he travels outside the forest for the first time and across the dangerous and beautiful terrain of Innerland, a land where good and evil have been engaged in an ancient struggle.

Beyond the Forest is being published by Madison-based Cricket House Books, and will be available on Amazon, iTunes, Nook, Google Play and Kobo on October 1st 2013. The release party for Beyond the Forest will be held at Redamte Coffee House, 449 State Street, Madison Wisconsin, on Sunday, October 20th from 5 to 7 PM. There will be refreshments and door prizes.

"We are simply honored to help bring alive the fresh new world of Innerland, a land to which children and their keepers will easily find themselves wanting to be whisked away over and over again. Windy Phillips has crafted a marvelous tale of adventure and perseverance that many will enjoy reading either aloud at bedtime or in a secret reading nook anytime." - Marshall Barker, Owner, Cricket House Books

Windy Phillips fell in love with fantasy series when her mother first read The Chronicles of Narnia to her as a child, and the genre has been close to her heart ever since. She began work on the Innerland Chronicles on her twenty-first birthday, and now, six years later, Beyond the Forest is being published just as she begins to read The Chronicles of Narnia to her own children. Windy is currently working on the rest of the installments in the Innerland Chronicles series. Her websites are http://windyphillipswrites.com/ and http://innerlandchronicles.com/.
