BOSTON, MA, September 12, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lynn Caster greets visitors of all kinds to her bed and breakfast located in Massachusetts. But as of late, Caster has noticed a vast increase in working professionals who are utilizing her bed and breakfast as a place to both rest and work.

According to a recent article by the Indianapolis Reporter, about one in four professionals who travel for business, travel overnight at least once per week each month. Unlike the past, traveling professionals are beginning to get creative with work-life balance, packing adventure and work into one trip.

According to the Hilton Garden Inn Discovery and Connection Survey, business travelers are more likely than other travelers to extend their business trip by an extra day or two in order to take advantage of leisure opportunities. With the economy continuing to improve, U.S. business travel is expected to increase around five percent in 2013. Thus, the future of business travel has an extremely positive outlook, especially for those in the travel and tourism industry.

"I'm delighted to see the rise in U.S. business travel. As a bed and breakfast owner and operator, it's certainly helping my business grow. Aside from personal advantages, I think it's wonderful that professionals are beginning to take charge of the balance between work and life, to create more enjoyable business trips. In today's day and age, I think a great majority of professionals are working long hours, without much room for personal time. By fitting business and enjoyment into one trip, it's a win-win for everyone involved," said Lynn Caster, owner of The Rose and Lilac Inn.

In order to make the experience as enjoyable as possible, business professionals are beginning to take advantage of travel incentives including accumulating flyer miles and attaining additional hotel perks. Many hotels, and bed and breakfasts, offer incentives for traveling professionals including late checkout, free overnight stays, complimentary breakfast, and reduced stay rates. For example, the Hilton Garden Inn Bed n' Breakfast offers an inclusive package that includes a complimentary breakfast for each adult staying and free meals for children 12 years and under.

"I am happy to offer my clients reduced rates for business travel. I appreciate their desire to create more positive balances between work and life, and will do everything in my power to allow them to take advantage of The Rose and Lilac Inn," said Lynn Caster.
