Emory’s Social Enterprise @ Goizueta and Georgia Organics Offer An Evening of Coffee, Fine Food and Farmer Philanthropy

What: Social Enterprise @ Goizueta and Georgia Organics will bring together specialty coffee growers from around the world and local farmers from Georgia for a very special evening of food, coffee and farmer prosperity.

The Taking it to the Farm event will support the Farmers Benefits Project, a program where students from Emory’s Social Enterprise @ Goizueta research center are working with Georgia Organics  to design a new health care insurance model for Georgia’s farmers.

Why: Georgia farmers face issues surrounding health insurance as many are ineligible for federal assistance. Many farmers struggle to pay high insurance premiums as independent contractors.
