OFFICIALLY PREMIERING ON YOUTUBE APRIL 5, 2016
LOS ANGELES (April 5, 2016) – Actress CHELSEA LONDON LLOYD busts a wannabe rap for Lizze McGuire heartthrob CLAYTON SNYDER in her new comedy short, SNEEZY G. The film marks the directorial debut for Lloyd and is set to officially premiere April 5th on YouTube (https://youtu.be/UBiN1g-ElVo).
SNEEZY G follows film student Gertrude Melons (Lloyd) in a desperate search to cast the leading man for her final class project due tomorrow. Just when all hopes are lost, Gertrude stumbles into the local bartender (Snyder) and channels her inner wannabe rapper, Sneezy G, in this last ditch effort to find her music video star.
The film made its world premiere on the festival circuit at FAB Fest: For Funny Ass B*tches earlier this year and now Lloyd is excited to share her vision with fans everywhere. Lloyd explains, “I am honored to bring to life my directorial debut, SNEEZY G, which was inspired by my own experience. I used to ask so many dudes out. I had no idea what I was doing. I’ve moved past that phase but will forever laugh about it. I’m all about shedding light on relationship weirdness, especially the male-female gender dynamic when it comes to dating. Awkwardly articulate characters are hilarious to me, especially women who have a very strong point of view, even when nobody else agrees with them and they just own it.”
Lloyd has plans to expand the storyline of Sneezy G into a 6-part web series, which will come out next year.
Lloyd has been building a solid reputation on the indie scene, most notably for her appearance in the horror-thriller feature film, Story of Eva, starring Eric Roberts and Rico Ross. She recently gained industry attention as the co-host alongside Brian Patacca in the web-based talk show #NotMadMonday, released under the Fox Digital production banner. Her credits also include ADULT SWIM, a campaign for WAG, and producing/starring opposite Kiersey Clemons (Transparent, Dope) in the indie short Prom?!
In addition, her sassy, self-deprecating humor has made her a stand-out in viral videos on BuzzFeed and as a stand-up and improv performer at some of the biggest hotspots in Los Angeles. Lloyd stars on Verizon’s new mobiseries ‘Clevver Now’ with 44 episodes coming out once per week this year under Defy Media + go90.
Chelsea London Lloyd is represented by Abrams Artists, Commercial Talent and Principal Entertainment.
