Liquid Art House Presents FLUXUS

image

BOSTON— Liquid Art House (LAH) is pleased to announce its latest exhibition FLUXUS, a group show featuring works by Lithuanian artist Sakalas, Boston-based artists Giovanni DeCunto, Resa Blatman and Rhode Island-based artist Dana Woulfe. FLUXUS artists explore a variety of natural subjects from landscape, flora, atmosphere, and vivid abstract painting. This will be the second exhibition of the popular gallery-meets-restaurant hybrid since opening in May.

Inspired by the Latin word for "flow," fluxus is a concept in physics and applied mathematics denoting the flow of a physical property in space. In art, it references a movement of artists in the 1960’s whose goal was to erase the boundaries between art and life.

"Fluxus is concept central to an adaptive and changing environment and allows us to perceive our world as a unified, rotating multi-sensory space," says L.A.H. Art Director Silvi Naci. "These works are a canvas of stories that unfold and dance together to engage the viewer to look closer at a collapsed environment of natural and weather elements, environmental and contemporary issues."

Also on view and for sale is sculpture from Nineta and Erin Shaw; jewelery by Melinaki; and screen prints by Cape Cod-based artist Dan McCarthy.
