(PRLEAP.COM) December 20, 2013 - Santa Barbara, CA, Blush Restaurant and Lounge celebrated the life of Mallory Rae Dies with her family, friends, and Santa Barbara community members during a fundraiser on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Blush Restaurant & Lounge.

27-year old Mallory, a beloved bartender at Tonic Nightclub, sadly passed away on Wednesday, December 11th following a hit and run accident less than one week prior.

The fundraiser on Sunday December 15th took place on the back patio of Blush Restaurant & Lounge from 4pm to 10pm. The owners set up happy hour prices for the entire evening as well as a silent auction with holiday gift items from area business owners who have been touched by this tragedy. All proceeds will benefit Mallory's family.

The Santa Barbara community has shown a tremendous outpouring of love and support for Mallory and her family. A fundraising web site was setup with a goal of $60,000 for those interested in making an online donation.

An online journal was set up in Mallory's honor where family and friends who have been touched by her story can leave words of love and support. Mallory's passing has even touched those who never met her. Strangers who identify with the senseless loss of a loved one have left words of condolences for her family.
