When thinking about Solider Field in Chicago, Illinois, one usually thinks of the hard-hitting linebackers that have dominated the sport of football. In August 2014, fans of One Direction will have a chance to add the legacy of this boy band to the history of the field. The widely popular group announced the lineup for their 2014 tour and Soldier Field will be one of the stops being made along the way.

The "Where We Are" tour will be the group's third in three years as headlining acts and is following up the successful 131 date "Take Me Home Tour" which ran from February through November of this year. The 2014 tour is set to invade cities across North America starting with Toronto on August 1st and tentatively set to conclude on October 5th at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida.

Tickets for the entire tour including the August 29th and August 30th stops at Soldier Field will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, December 7th. Tickets could sell out quickly if their last tour was any indication, so fans should ask their parents to get tickets as gifts this holiday season. The group – consisting of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson – has put out many popular songs since making it big in 2010 and are great role models. Parents can be assured that if they send their kids to a One Direction concert that it will be all entertainment and no controversy like seen from other popular performers today.  Presale tickets are currently available for all show dates.

Soldier Field first opened in October 1924 and re-opened after renovations in 2003. The facility is home to the Chicago Bears and can seat more than 61,000 fans for football games and with seating on the field, that number could increase several more thousand. Despite that, fans shouldn't wait to purchase their tickets. The group doesn't have many shows scheduled for the Midwest as of yet, so all those tickets could sell out quickly.
