CHICAGO, Oct. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its mission to support Illinois communities, Northstar Lottery Group, the Illinois Lottery's private manager, has partnered with Windy City Habitat for Humanity to help build a home for Chicago resident, Houlaymatou Diallo and her family. Tomorrow, 15 Northstar employees will paint, hammer and install dry wall at homes located at 4519 and 4521 South Lamon in Chicago, then celebrate with the Diallo family at their home dedication.  The family will purchase their home with a zero percent interest mortgage and more than 500 sweat equity hours.

Diallo, originally from Guinea, West Africa, moved to Chicago from Atlanta in 2003 to help support her family. She turned to Windy City Habitat when she realized the value of homeownership and the stability it would provide for her family.

Since July 2011, when it officially became the private manager of the Illinois Lottery, Northstar Lottery Group has sponsored various charitable programs and has opened eight After School Advantage computer labs statewide in its commitment to community service.
