NEW YORK, Sept. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Studio D, the innovative Interiors firm with offices in New York, NY and Denver, CO, recently put the finishing touches on a dramatic project located in Wilton, CT, about an hour outside Manhattan.

Reflecting the owner's tastes, Studio D used boutique hotels visited around the globe by the owners as the inspiration for the design with a focus on the dramatic. With over 8,900 sq. ft. the custom designed home features multiple design environments including The Parlor, The Gallery, The Lounge, and Coffee Talk.

Each design environment reflects a different facet of the owner's personality, while simultaneously maintaining a cohesive aesthetic throughout the space.

Begun in 2011, Studio D was commissioned before the first shovel fell on the property. The project commission included the complete design of all interior and exterior living spaces and review of developing architectural details; including the selection of all furniture, finishes, accessories, color schemes, plumbing fixtures, hardware, and lighting. Additionally, Studio D developed all the specifications, floor plans, elevations, renderings, and lighting plans.

"The majority of the furniture pieces were custom, we had to exercise our entire network of suppliers and vendors. We had custom pieces fabricated in Scottsdale, Seattle, and Los Angeles not to mention our local sources." says Principal Designer Danielle Wallinger.
