Smith Wollensky Chef Matt King Shares Favorite Surf Turf Menu with Plugra Gourmet Club

In partnership with SAVEUR Magazine, Plugra European-Style Butter has enlisted Plugra-loving chefs from around the country to bring their signature styles and recipes to culinary enthusiasts. Plugra Gourmet Club members can access recipes and full menus from world-renowned chefs and learn their inside secrets to creating the best foods.  Additionally, each Plugra Gourmet Club feature includes specific dinner party planning tools and tips.  

Chef King creates an exquisite and diverse Surf & Turf menu to please dinner party guests—a meal that brings the award-winning and refined Smith & Wollensky dining experience to the table. "Smith & Wollensky is an iconic steakhouse with a classic menu," said Chef King. "One of the great things about Smith & Wollensky is we add a current twist to the menu by incorporating on-trend and seasonal ingredients into the traditional dishes you'd expect to see in a classic steakhouse."

One of the featured dishes on the Gourmet Club menu is the Long Bone Rib Eye made with Plugra bone marrow butter. "The butter is made by roasting marrow bones then removing the bone marrow to mix with Plugra Butter seasoned with harissa and spices for an additional burst of flavorful richness," said Chef King.

By providing the menu, demonstration videos, and ambiance and decor tips, Plugra Gourmet Club makes it easy for food enthusiasts to join together, gain knowledge and celebrate their passion for food. Home chefs can learn from professionals how Plugra Butter's higher butterfat and a creamier texture lead to flakier pastries, creamy sauces, rich risottos, and extraordinary flavored butters and sautes.                                                                                           

With each menu feature, a new Club of the Month is recognized based on entries submitted. The winning group is selected by SAVEUR editorsand awarded $500 toward its next dinner party.
