U.S. Cellular’s tiered device protection program provided by Assurant Solutions includes comprehensive coverage for a range of mobile mishaps

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--U.S. Cellular customers now have access to an expanded range of protection products and services provided by Assurant Solutions, a leading global provider of mobile protection programs. Device Protection+ is the next generation of protection for U.S. Cellular customers, providing comprehensive protection coverage for a range of mobile devices including phones, tablets, modems, mobile hotspots and home phones (fixed wireless terminals).

Device Protection+ protects covered devices in the event of many mobile mishaps, including accidental damage from breaks and spills, loss, theft and mechanical or electrical breakdown once the manufacturer’s warranty has expired. In the event of a claim, fast and friendly customer service can get U.S. Cellular customers reconnected as early as the next business day, where available.

Smartphone and tablet coverage is available for $8.99 per month per device and includes access to data protection features like data backup, locate, lock and wipe and anti-malware. Coverage for other phones, modems, hotspots and home phones is $6.99 per month per device. U.S. Cellular customers can enroll in the program at any time, provided they meet eligibility requirements.
