Rite Aid Promotes Tammy Royer to Group Vice President of Managed Care

CAMP HILL, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE: RAD) announced today that Tammy Royer, a long-time member of Rite Aid’s pharmacy division and retail pharmacy professional with nearly twenty years of experience, has been promoted to Group Vice President of Managed Care.

In her new role, Royer will oversee all aspects of managed care, including contracting, maintaining relationships with managed care organizations, pharmacy benefit managers and third-party payers and developing new strategic partnerships. She will report directly to Chris Hall, Rite Aid Senior Vice President of Pharmacy Services.

Royer, a licensed pharmacist, joined Rite Aid in 1996 as a pharmacist. She has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibilities in the company’s pharmacy division, in both the field and corporate office, including pharmacy operations, pharmacy technology and pharmacy loss prevention. In 2009, she was appointed to a newly created d position of Vice President of Script Growth Initiatives where she successfully developed and executed initiatives designed to grow Rite Aid’s pharmacy business. Most recently, Tammy served as Vice President of Pharmacy Initiatives and Clinical Services, where she was responsible for the development, implementation and management of new pharmacy business and clinical programs including immunization, medication therapy management and medication adherence.

Tammy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh.
