TOKYO--()--RISO KAGAKU CORPORATION (TOKYO:6413)(President&CEO: Akira Hayama) proudly presents the new RISO A2 printer, our new addition to the digital duplicators lineup for the printing industry capable of printing on the large A2 size paper. The RISO A2 is scheduled for sale in various countries across the globe (except for Japan and North America) starting with Russia in November, 2013.
So far the A3 size paper was the largest size available for printing on digital duplicators. With the release of the RISO A2, for the first time the limit of the industry will reach an even greater size of A2 printing capability. The printer can comply with a wide range of applications in the area of commercial printing, which often requires a large variety of small quantity printing jobs.
The RISO A2 can accommodate various needs of the customers such as printing on tabloid newspapers, fliers, and drawings; it also offers high resolution printing at 600dpi. By using the multi-up function, the RISO A2 can print four A4 size sheets simultaneously on one A2 size paper resulting in high productivity of the printing work. By releasing the RISO A2, RISO aims to reach new classes of users in the overseas markets.
The printer will be presented at the POLYGRAPHINTER exhibition that will be held from November 12, 2013 (Tue.) to November 15, 2013 (Fri.) in Moscow, Russia targeting shops selling printing equipment.

Main features of the RISO A2
1) Capability of printing on the A2 size paperFunctionality to printing on the A2 size paper has so far been only possible with offset printing machines and other similar devices. With this enlargement of the largest size available, the printer will allow utilization over a wide range of applications in the commercial printing area.As it is also possible to multi-up pages on the A2 size paper, the RISO A2 shows excellent results in terms of productivity of printing.
2) Achieving high productivity with the high-speed printing up to 100 sheets per minute.The RISO A2 can print 1,000 sheets in only 10 minutes. With the speed available, users can deliver the orders on time even when the work has to be done on a tight schedule.
3) Printing at a low running cost.As the RISO A2 prints after reproducing the data on a master sheet, when printing the same data, the larger the number of the copies needed, the lower the printing unit price. This feature enables users to print large quantities at a low cost.
4) Ease of handlingThe RISO A2 is easy to operate ensuring high-quality printing even if there is no skilled operator. It is ready for operation as soon as it is powered up, and the master-making takes only 60 seconds. The printer can thus print immediately just when you need it and can work for as long as you need it to.
5) Ample color variationsThe RISO A2 comes with 21 color ink cartridges and 50 more custom-made colors are additionally available. We also take orders for corporate colors and other special types of ink.As the RISO A2 uses a cartridge-type drum, changing any of the colors is a quick and easy task.
6) Environmental considerationsThe RISO A2 consumes only a little power and can also print on recycled paper.Our ink is made of soybean oil. Disposal of used masters is also quite easy.
