The award is issued yearly by the Swedish Fund for Export Development. The criteria are a stable and growing export to a global market through a well thought-out marketing strategy, and with sustained profitability. Arcam, with its main operations in Sweden, has close to 100% export sales.

Arcam is growing fast. In the first half of 2013 sales increased 80% and earnings improved substantially compared with the first half of 2012. Trailing 12-month turnover is 179.8 MSEK and net profit is 21.4 MSEK. In the spring of 2013 a new product generation, the Arcam Q10, was launched and was very well received by the market.

Arcam's market is global with customers primarily in the orthopedic implant and aerospace industries that take advantage of the EBM technology's capacity for cost-efficient manufacturing of products with advanced functionality. Many of the leading companies in these industries are today clients.
