Raquel Oliveira, group leader at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (IGC, Portugal), is to receive a Starting Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) of approximately 1.5 million Euros. This 5 years funding will support Raquel Oliveira’s research on how chromosome morphology influences cell division. This is the ninth ERC grant attributed to the IGC since the beginning of this European funding programme.
