At the DirectWomen Board Institute Huber attended informational sessions on key issues facing current and future corporate directors and had the opportunity to interact with Institute alumnae and past honorees. The Institute was co-chaired by Professor Hillary A. Sale, Walter D. Coles Professor of Law and Professor of Management at Washington University in St. Louis and Professor Lisa M. Fairfax, Leroy Sorenson Merrifield Research Professor of Law at the George Washington University Law School. Institute faculty featured leading experts on corporate governance as well as experienced directors and officers of large public companies. Speakers covered topics such as the role and work of nominating board members, the evolving nature of shareholder relations, the strategic role of audit committees and the role of executive search firms in board searches.
Huber is a top business leader with over 20 years' experience in global Fortune 500 technology and life sciences companies. She is known for her strategic approach to complex international business issues and devising effective solutions. At Agilent Technologies, Huber advises the Board of Directors on transformative M&A, major spin-offs, enabling growth in emerging markets, enterprise risk, compliance and regulatory issues and a variety of corporate governance and shareholder relations matters. She leads of team of over 200 professionals in a dozen countries covering legal, compliance, regulatory affairs and quality, communications, government affairs and philanthropy. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Leadership Forum - Silicon Valley, an organization that brings together top business, government and non-profit leaders to address complex regional issues. Prior to joining Agilent, Huber was Corporate Counsel at Hewlett-Packard Company where she gained insight into a wide variety of technologies. She began her career as an M&A and corporate attorney at large New York and San Francisco law firms. She received her B..A. cum laude in economics from Yale, studied at the London School of Economics and earned her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.
