DLA Land And Maritime Recognizes Los Angeles-Based Sensor Systems, Inc. As One Of The Government's Best Suppliers

CHATSWORTH, Calif., Nov. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sensor Systems, Inc.—which supplies communication and navigation antennas for aircraft for the Department of Defense and other agencies—recently was honored by DLA Land and Maritime, Columbus, Ohio, with a Recognition for Excellence Gold Award as one of the government's best suppliers.

This recognition means the firm has supplied a product the government can be confident in using. Firms that qualify as Automated Best Value System award winners have met the stringent quality and delivery requirements established by the Defense Logistics Agency. The ABVS, a computerized system, collects a vendor's past performance data and translates it into a numeric score, ranging from 0 to 100.

Betty and Si Robin, the husband and wife leadership team for Sensor Systems, accepted the award from the DLA Land and Maritime Commander, Navy Rear Adm. David R. Pimpo.

To qualify for a Gold Award, a contractor must have a perfect score of 100. To be eligible, vendors must have shipped 50 or more contract line items during a 12-month period.
