The second leg of the "Cowboy Rides Away Tour" kicks off in Bossier City, Louisiana, on January 9.  The star will continue to tour across the United States through May, with concerts being performed in such cities as Omaha, Nebraska; Phoenix, Arizona; San Diego, California; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Newark, New Jersey; Chicago, Illinois; Atlanta, Georgia; Wichita, Kansas; Tacoma, Washington; Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Foxborough, Massachusetts. 

Martina McBride was the opening act for the country performer during his concerts earlier this year.  In 2014, the star's opening acts will vary from week to week.  Scheduled entertainers include Jason Aldean, Vince Gill, Ronnie Dunn, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Chris Young, and Miranda Lambert.  It is still not known which performers will open for which weeks. 

George Strait tickets are going to sell out very quickly.  Fans want to take advantage of one last chance to see their favorite country music performer in person, and next year's concerts are limited in number.  Concertgoers will need to acquire their seats for an upcoming show in record time. 

The "King of Country" has released 28 albums, his latest having come out in May of this year.  Over 68 million copies of his recordings have sold in the U.S., with 33 albums reaching platinum status, 13 having attained multi-platinum, and 38 reaching gold certification.  The amazing artist has also had 60 of his popular songs reach the number one position on music charts.  Having his touring days come to an end will be a bittersweet time for the singer and for his many fans who have followed his career for over 30 years.
