IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AudioQuest is moving to a direct-to-dealer sales approach for Canada beginning October 3, 2013. In support of this move, the company is pleased to announce the appointment of Rashpal Rai (Rash) to the newly created position of Regional Sales Manager for Western Canada. Rash will work out of Vancouver, B.C., and will service AQ's dealers in B.C., Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

Rash comes to AQ with over 15 years of consumer electronics retail experience, including management of independent store fronts for wireless dealers and national chains such as Best Buy Canada and Future Shop. Rash has spent the last two years with D+M Group managing the Best Buy Canada account, and in this capacity was responsible for launching the Marantz brand and Denon's Headphone line into Future Shop.

AudioQuest is also pleased to announce the appointment of Frederic Pinsonneault (Fred) to the newly created position of Regional Sales Manager for Eastern Canada. Fred will be living and working out of Montreal while managing AQ's dealers in the provinces of Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI and Newfoundland.

Fred comes to AQ after nearly six years of service with AudioQuest's former distributor, Lenbrook Canada. Fred's position with Lenbrook saw him covering the province of Quebec, so Fred brings with him a vast knowledge of the "Quebecois" independent audio retailer market. Fred began in the consumer electronics industry working for a downtown Montreal retail chain where he learned the basics of the audio-video industry. Fred studied Film Production, achieving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Concordia University, Qc, and has also worked in photography and the data-communications world.

I am proud to be part of the AudioQuest team as we take dealer sales direct in this exciting era of positive change for AQ in Canada. I was attracted to the company culture, the products and, most importantly, the people. There is an enormous sense of pride and teamwork at AudioQuest. I look forward to learning from the many experts on the AudioQuest team and transferring that education into skills that will assist me in building meaningful long-term relationships with our dealers in Western Canada so that together we elevate their customers' experiences to new heights. - Rashpal Rai

I have sold the AudioQuest's product for years and, in addition to sounding great and looking great and being a very fun line to represent, the one thing that always stands out is how much everyone at AQ cares and loves what they do. I feel fortunate to have been asked to join this team. I am also very happy to have Rash working with me to handle the Great White North. I have a good feeling that we will be up to the challenge and will make Canada a strong and dynamic territory for AudioQuest. - Frederic Pinsonneault
