IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AudioQuest is delighted to announce that yet another incredible industry veteran is joining the company. David Solomon's journey in audio began in 1979 when, like many budding audiophiles at that time, he took a position with a hi-fi store. It's been said of that era that working in a hi-fi store was the closest thing to playing in a rock & roll band, and David in fact worked as a roadie for The Commodores before ultimately being seduced by the audio industry.
David has been a good friend of AudioQuest since the early 1990s when, as Hiring and Training Manager at the Hi-Fi Buys chain in Atlanta, Georgia, he made AudioQuest an important line for this once-nationally-visible retailer (it was later bought by Tweeter). Most recently, David has been a highly visible evangelist and educator in computer audio as a founder, managing partner, and the public face of Peachtree Audio.
David starts at AudioQuest October 1, 2013, and will be going on tour again with the title of Ambassador-at-Large, reporting to Sr. VP of Marketing & Product Development Joe Harley. David will be running around the world listening, looking and learning about how AQ's customers (dealers and distributors) see us. Those who know David know that if he talks to a dealer about the weather, that dealer is going to forever remember having been visited by an ambassador par excellence!
I've long been a fan of AudioQuest and its cable, using it in my own systems for the better part of the last 22 years. However, great product is only part of the reason I choose AQ. The people are most important asset, and I haven't encountered a better, more dynamic group anywhere. With the right people, you can change history and overcome obstacles that are bigger than any individual involved. I find this to be true of AudioQuest and I'll be proud to be a small part of a much bigger picture.-David Solomon
