CORONA, Calif., Jan. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Citrus City Grille brought home "Business of the Year" honors from this year's Corona Chamber of Commerce Installation and Awards Gala.  A member of the Chamber since opening in 2008, received the award as Business of the Year in the retail category.  The restaurant is actively engaged in the community and enthusiastic about its commitment to being a positive impact on regional business.  

"We are so honored and so pleased to be recognized by the Chamber and the city," says Steve Tsirtsis, owner of the Citrus City Grille. "When we opened our location here in Corona we wanted to build something special that would be an enjoyable gathering place for the community. A mindful community partner, Citrus City Grille supports various community organizations including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Arthritis Foundation, the Premier Service Bank Annual Charitable Golf Outing, as well as various other local school and church fundraisers.  The Citrus City Grille is also home to fundraisers that support Tasos Project for Kids, an organization started in 2013 by restaurant co-owner Agatha Tsirtsis.  The Tasos Project offers counseling and scholarship support for children who have lost parents to cancer, a passion for the Tsirtsis family, which lost a son tragically to cancer last year.

Citrus City Grille first opened a restaurant in 1996 in quaint Old Towne Orange, California.  In 2000, Steve Tsirtsis and Steve Xenos took over the operation with a complete renovation, offering new, unique tastes in a welcoming, warm atmosphere.  In 2008, the restaurant expanded to The Promenade at Dos Lagos located at 2765 Lakeshore Drive in Corona.
