(PRLEAP.COM) Yew Chung International School of Beijing (YCIS Beijing) seeks to provide quality education at all levels, even going as far to offer non-traditional educational options for parents looking to start their child's education at a younger age. YCIS Beijing offers Early Childhood Education for children from the ages of two to five, and helps prepare students both academically and socially for the world of primary education. Highly trained teachers are responsive to individual student's needs, while also allowing the group to advance as a team. By providing two Open Mornings on 13th November and 11th December 2013, the ECE programme at YCIS Beijing hopes to awaken parents' interest in starting their children's education at an early age to promote future success.

The Yew Chung International School (YCIS) system has long placed a high importance on Early Childhood Education (ECE), with the Director of YCIS, Dr. Betty Chan Po-King, actually holding a M.Ed in early childhood education. With YCIS' Director holding a special interest in early childhood education, it is obvious that this education stage would become an integral part of YCIS as a whole. Thus the YCIS school system has created an ECE division for its various international schools, which is overseen by Superintendent Elizabeth Randall. YCIS has built a strong programme for ECE, which integrates the various YCIS principles and philosophies, while also including specialised aspects according to the location.

At YCIS Beijing, the school has focused on offering a three-stage Kindergarten system for children aged two to five. This particular programme focuses on offering a bilingual curriculum, where children learn through guided investigation and experimentation. In this style of learning, YCIS Beijing brings together the best of Eastern and Western cultures, to aid in the understanding and acceptance of diversity. This philosophy has built an accredited learning environment that has been recognised by the Council of International Schools (CIS), New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and National Centre for School Curriculum and Textbook Development (NCCT). YCIS' Early Childhood Education Department was commended for "creating a stimulating, bilingual learning environment that supports the development of the whole child".

To provide parents with a hands-on understanding of the ECE Programme at YCIS Beijing, the school is offering two Kindergarten Open Mornings on 13th November and 11th December. These mornings will operate from 9:30-10:00 am, and both parents and their children are encouraged to participate. The schedule will consist of a presentation with further information about ECE at YCIS Beijing and a discussion around the bilingual aspect of the curriculum. There will be tours of the Kindergarten classrooms and playground, with some active participation in classes happening at that time. YCIS Beijing hopes that in offering these open mornings, parents will understand why a multi-cultural, bilingual classroom is beneficial to a young child's growth.
