DENVER, Oct. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --With the challenges facing small business owners today, The Alternative Board brings additional resources to the WNC economy starting this month.  Owners of private small businesses are invited to a General Information Meeting on Tuesday, October 29 or Tuesday, November 5 at the Western Carolina Campus at Biltmore Park.  RSVP by contacting TAB-certified Facilitator David Reeves.

David Reeves understands small business owners contend daily with obstacles to their success and viability.  However some business owners maintain an optimistic outlook into 2014 and manage to thrive even during uncertain times.  What is their secret and how have they managed to beat the odds even in tough times?

The secret is in the advice these business owners receive from their peers for suggested solutions to the challenges confronting them.  Business owners worldwide find that the best advice often comes from their peers – other business owners who have faced similar experiences and developed real-world strategies to sustain or expand their businesses.  The Alternative Board (TAB) offers these types of resources to private small business owners.

TAB builds boards of non-competing business with average revenues of $1 million to $100 million, where owners can meet monthly to tap into the wealth of experience and insight their peers bring to the table.  Up to 10 business owners, CEOs and presidents comprise a typical TAB board.  This peer think-tank format has been successful for tens of thousands of business owners globally since 1990.

David Reeves, independent owner and operator of The Alternative Board of WNC  has a pulse on small business challenges.  "I know from experience how lonely it is at the top for small business owners, I have owned and operated small, closely help business for nearly 40 years.  I know firsthand of the problems and obstacles a business faces.. I believe that TAB can provide what all small business owners need – expert coaching and collective wisdom from those who have been there." TAB-Certified Facilitator/Coaches like David Reeves help business owners spend less time working in their business and more time working on their business.  This shift from tactical to strategic leadership enables leaders to begin achieving what they originally set out to do as business owners.

Reeves welcomes private small business executives in the WNC area to his TAB launch events with a final challenge: "What better way to help these owners renew their personal visions and re-invigorate them? I would like to see every small business in my territory taking advantage in some way of TAB's services."
