Houston Business-Education Coalition PAC (HBEC) Endorses Kevin J. Hoffman In Fall HCC Election

HOUSTON, Oct. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Houston Business-Education Coalition (HBEC) is pleased to announce that it has endorsed Kevin J. Hoffman in the District 1 Houston Community College Election.

HBEC Chair Jonathan Day announced the endorsement, and said:  "Kevin has a strong business background in the energy business and a long record of community service.  His experience will bring a valuable perspective to the HCC Board."

HBEC is comprised of business and professional leaders who are vitally interested in the quality of the leadership on the Houston Community College Board.  Members of HBEC are:

About Kevin J. Hoffman:

Kevin has over twenty years of experience in the energy industry in project management, regulatory compliance, acquisition and divestiture and customer relations.  Prior to those positions,  he had nine years of experience in managing non-profit organizations, including budget development and administration, administration of production and human resources development.

Kevin also has make a wide and deep contribution as a member of the community.  He has served as President of his neighborhood civic association, the Lindale Park Civic Club, and President of the New Northside Super Neighborhood Council #51.  He currently is Precinct Judge of Precinct 207 of Harris County, and is a long-time member of LULAC Council 402.

Kevin has a long record of constructive engagement in our community's political processes.  As a long term loyal Democrat, he has been President of the Greater Heights Democratic Club and a delegate to the 2012 Democratic National Convention.  He has also served as Treasurer of the Houston Area Stonewall Democrats, and is a member of the Harris County Tejano Democrats and the GLBT Council.
