DODOMA, Tanzania, October 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

YahClick offers business users free modem, free YahClick dish and reduced installation charges

YahClick Service Partners Infinity and Yahsat, the Abu Dhabi, UAE based satellite operator, are working together to reduce the entry costs of acquiring YahClick high speed, reliable and cost effective satellite broadband internet services.

Following on from the positive uptake of the service in Tanzania to date, Infinity and SimbaNet in partnership with Yahsat are offering businesses free equipment and reduced installation charges for selected YahClick Business Service Plans up until December 19, 2013. These businesses will only be charged the monthly subscription fee resulting in a saving of up to $ 1,166.

By increasing connectivity across the country and enabling organisations to improve their communication via high speed and reliable satellite broadband internet, YahClick helps businesses flourish locally and internationally.

"YahClick has been received well in [Tanzania] and we are now in a position to offer organisations special perks and offers, aimed at helping businesses thrive. Businesses have a lot to worry about, and good quality, affordable broadband internet shouldn't be one of these worries. YahClick is designed to help drive regional economic development and empower individuals and communities to achieve their dreams, regardless of their location," stated Shawkat Ahmed, Chief Commercial Officer, Yahsat.

Launched in late 2012, and now operational across 12 markets, YahClick provides satellite broadband internet connectivity to businesses, home users, government entities, and non-governmental organisations, helping bridge the technological gap for unserved and underserved communities.

In Tanzania YahClick business subscription prices start from as low as $177 - for speeds ranging from 1 Megabit per second up to 15 Megabits per second, with free equipment and reduced installation charges on most business subscription plans.

Edson Ndanguzi, YahClick Project Manager for Infinity "Tanzania's internet infrastructure has developed significantly over the last decade, absorbing newer and faster technologies; affordable satellite broadband internet is the next step in bridging the digital divide. This promotion is a great way for businesses to invest in technology that provides higher connectivity at cost effective rates, enabling them to own the tools that will help propel them on both a local and international level."

Ahmed added: "Today's global economy is powered by connectivity and it is important for businesses and government entities to minimize any risks associated with internet down time. Satellite solutions such as YahClick are independent of in-market terrestrial connectivity availability or reliability, and are therefore rapidly accessible in the most remote locations and with minimal downtime. The YahClick offering is the perfect solution for businesses looking for highly reliable internet services no matter where they are or the condition of their in-country terrestrial internet services."

YahClick is beamed through Yahsat's Y1B satellite, which was successfully launched in April 2012. Y1B is the first satellite in the region to offer internet connectivity through Ka-band multi-spot beams, with reusable frequencies to maximize spectrum efficiency.  YahClick will be fully operational across a coverage area spanning 28 countries throughout the Middle East, Africa, Central and South West Asia, in partnership with more than 30 leading in-market Service Partners.
