The star has announced that the tour is a bittersweet event for him, and it is really starting to sink in that upcoming shows will be the last ones he will perform in active touring.  Country music aficionados will be happy to learn that the popular singer has agreed to a five-album project with MCA Records, so fans will be hearing more from the star.  In order to see him in a live performance, though, concertgoers will need to acquire George Strait tickets for one of his 2014 shows since they will be his final tour appearances.

A variety of cities within the United States will host the star's last performances.  Some of these tour destinations include Bossier City, Austin, San Jose, Auburn Hills, Columbus, Newark, Louisville, Wichita, Chicago, Des Moines, Tulsa, Baton Rouge, and Foxborough.  The very last show of the tour will be in the Dallas/Arlington area, with the date as yet unannounced.

Each week, a different famous entertainer will be the opening act for 2014 tour events.  The list of performers is quite impressive and includes such artists as Jason Aldean, Merle Haggard, Vince Gill, Eric Church, Lee Ann Womack, Chris Young, Ronnie Dunn, Sheryl Crow, and Miranda Lambert.  As of this date, it is not yet known which entertainers are going to perform for which specific weeks.
